This course is a ONE TIME REQUIREMENT that licensees must comply with; however, the course is not approved as a continuing education credit nor it is approved for continuing education credit. Those who attend will comply with the Michigan Board of Dentistry rules and will satisfactorily have taken and completed the Human Trafficking course requirement. Also this course will help dental professionals further develop their education and knowledge to identify trafficked individuals who they may be seeing day to day and to create a standard reporting process to reduce the number of victims who currently fall through the cracks.

Course

- Identify warning signs for adults and minors
- Identify resources for reporting suspected victims
- Understand the Types and Venues in Michigan
To facilitate the new Michigan 2014 PA 341 & 343 Law that mandates Human Trafficking training for Medical & Dental Professionals and the provision of Medical Assistance of human trafficking victims. *

R 338.604 Training standards for identifying victims of human trafficking; requirements.
Rule 4. (1) Pursuant to section 16148 of the code, MCL 333.16148, an individual seeking licensure or licensed under article 15 of 1978 PA 368 shall complete training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the following standards:
- Training content shall cover all of the following:
(i) Understanding the types and venues of human trafficking in the United States.
(ii) Identifying victims of human trafficking in health care settings.
(iii) Identifying the warning signs of human trafficking in health care settings for adults and minors.
(iv) Resources for reporting the suspected victims of human trafficking
